Fake Security Warning and other Pop Ups
Everyone should have a Pop-up blocker installed. However, sometimes they manage to get through. Don't fall for their tricks!
Most pop-ups are just advertisements. We all know to close those!
Some appear to be Windows Security Warnings. These will say something like..."Windows had detected Spyware on your machine, click HERE to fix it". This is not legitimate, and will most likely INSTALL spyware on your machine. Alwasy click on the "x" in the top right corner to close these. Never click on "OK" or "YES" or "FIX" etc.
Some websites are more obvious about installing spyware. They will pop up an Install box. Never approve any programs to be installed on your computer unless you KNOW you want it to be installed.
